Our Fees – Skin Cancer Clinic
OzSkinScan Skin Cancer Clinic is a private billing practice. Our fees are determined by the Australian Medical Association recommended rates and reflect the technology adapted.
Bulk Billing is available only for new patients who are eligible DVA card holders.
Telehealth consultations are bulk billed, available to existing patients only.
Consultations: private fees apply to all consultations.

Biopsies: Fees for biopsies are calculated as per the following table.

Skin Excisions: Final fee is based on the size, anatomical location and the complexity of the procedure.

For all consultations and procedures you will be asked to pay the full amount on the day, and we will arrange where possible for your Medicare rebate to be lodged electronically through Medicare Online and you will received the rebate within the following few days. Ask our staff about your individualised procedure and related fees.

Consultations: private fees apply to all consultations; there is no Medicare rebate for cosmetic and aesthetic treatments.

Cancellation policy
A missed appointment is a loss to three people: the patient who missed the valuable time, another patient who could have used the valuable time and the doctor who was fully staffed and prepared for the treatment. Please be considerate of others and provide at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
To be able to offer affordable service to every one of our patients we have to protect our appointment availability via the following cancellation policy:
- We require a minimum of 48 hour notice for any appointment cancellation to allow time to reallocate your appointment to another patient.
- If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment for your procedure (PDT, biopsy or surgery), we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the treatment cost.
- If you cancel or reschedule your subsequent appointments without 48 hour notice, or don’t show up for your appointment, a cancellation fee / “no-show” fee of $50 will apply.
