Diathermy is a form of treatment that uses electrically induced heat or high frequency electromagnetic currents to destroy a variety of benign or sometimes malignant skin lesions.
Usually Diathermy is well tolerated and can be used without local anaesthetics, however for patient with low pain tolerance or sensitive areas we can use topical anaesthetics.
Diathermy can be used to treat medical and cosmetic skin conditions such as:
